During this year we have given 2,493 people emergency food parcels, run 3 Eat Well Spend Less courses to improve clients cooking and budgeting skills, and started a project to offer low cost food provision to those that are on a very tight budget.
The main reason people have needed support this year is that they are on a very low income. Our project manager Andrew Fellows, said “that the increase in people coming with low income as their crisis, shows that people are struggling to make ends meet and are just one big bill or unexpected event away from not being able to buy food” this is also reflected in the national figures.
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone that has supported us during the last 12 months with food, toiletries, money, and their time. We couldn’t do this without you all.
